BackMacaroni  & Bead Necklaces
This has been a popular activity at smaller festival events.  It is really good for the smaller children!
Materials needed are simple and will last for a while!  Plastic lacing (gimp) or ribbon, a variety of beads - pony beads work well, colored macaroni. 
It is easy to color macaroni. 
Use a variety of uncooked pasta (it needs to have an opening large enough for lacing), Rubbing Alcohol, Food Coloring
  Take a plastic bag ("ziplock" style), mix a little alcohol and food coloring, toss in mac, close and shake around!  Remove when you like the color and dry on paper towels.  Hint:  Don't try to be creative with colors - use the basic 4 colors - blue, green, yellow and red.
